Not your average affirmation cards

When I received the Emotional Support for Mothers Toolkit I was so surprised! It's a lot bigger than I thought. I've received affirmation card decks before but this is really unique and much better quality than I was expecting compared to other similar products. The tabs are super helpful to get to the right information and the guidebook could be sold on it's own, it's so good.

I've had the toolkit for a couple of months now and I keep it right next to me on my desk (I work from home). I love flipping through the cards when I feel a bit out of sorts, I've used the practices with my kids, and I've also enjoyed diving into random pages in the guidebook when I have a quick tea break.

Even if I'm too busy to use the kit, just knowing it's there helps. Seeing it sitting on my desk reminds me that whatever I'm feeling is normal and allowed and ok. This small reminder makes such a HUGE difference in stopping the cycle of spiralling thoughts and knowing that I'm ok, this is ok.

Thank you Belinda for making such a beautiful gift for all mothers. Every mother I know needs this kit!

The most beautiful gift for mums

These cards are a big warm hug. I feel so seen and supported. I'm using them each night and it just helps to shift my perspective from the day and have compassion for myself. I've ordered at least 5 sets for friends! I want to buy them for ALL the mums in my life.

The words I need to hear

This is something I wish I had in that first year of parenthood in particular. The pep talks are like a comforting hug and chat with a friend or sister, and the 30 second practices are manageable and inviting because let’s face it, who has more than 30 secs to spare when you’re in the thick of it. I feel like it also helps my partner to understand, show empathy and to know what to say, do or encourage when I’m feeling these emotions. This is something I’ll now be buying for all the new mums in my life. Thank you for creating such a thoughtful toolkit.

The friend I needed in the moment

Often a good phone call with a friend makes a world of difference to me as far as my mood and perspective go. When I’m really in the midst of a kid meltdown though, I can’t just pick up the phone and get relief. These cards are awesome for exactly this purpose: I take one out in the moment and read it and immediately feel more seen, loved, and supported, and if I do the exercise that speaks to me or just breathe through the words, I come out of the situation a bit more empowered, calm, and hopeful.

I wish I had this toolkit in the very early days of parenthood! It's such a beautiful resource to fall back on during the harder days and you can tell how much effort has gone into making it. Go and get them for your family, it's more than worth it!
